After a long afternoon meeting...a few hrs after my previous post...

Rushing for meeting just now so somehow ending quite abruptly. So now since meeting is over I decided to write more. hehee...

Zack, U will not be here for both ur birthdays this yr...sigh... will try to celebrate without u... :P ..hmz... Yvon, maybe we can go KTV...haha....

Since Zack asked me wat to do on Yvon's B'day...so let me ask here la...Yvon, wat u want for ur B'day?? :P

Tues Afternoon, lazying ard...

Sorry, haven blog for awhile.... especially to Zack. Miss you alot..haha...thought that you are online that day when I went online in the morning but it turns out to be ur younger brother using ur laptop...:P haha....

Zack: Anyway, seems like you are all settled there...but working hard...don't work more than 10 hrs a day la, rest when u can.

Yvon: My de-stress method is also do some workout, you can try blading....if not... Or you can just read some comics or listen to soft music. Laughing is a great way to de-stress.

I'm attached to the Reptile garden from next week to learn and perform my Docent's work at the Zoo...I also have a keeper attachment soon at the Night safari on the Fishing Cat's Trail...not sure wat I'll be doing thou...probably sweep the enclosure. :P Picking up trash behind the animals.....

Been quite lazy in the lab for this wk...due to the lack of supervisor watching over me and due to some time constriants I can't start my lab work.... The main things that I'm doin here now is to take care of the attachment students and see to the experiments that they are doing....more brain work than lab work. my supervisor give us vague informations on wat she need us to do..thus lots of things to think abt. I'm okie but the attachment students are so in-informed that they just do the experiments but don't know wat they are all abt...sigh...cya...gotta go...write more later.

Here I'll praise and bitch abt the things that happen on the Trip. Didn't wanna bitch abt it in my blog that I don't know who can see...:P

Delayer in the group

I regret asking the guy beside my lab to go with us on the trip...he is a major delayer....or should I say he is damn puncture with the time you tell him. The last one to reach when we are meeting to take bus from Kanji...last one to be at meal time, everyone starts without him and his wife because we are too hungry to wait for them. Very PUNCTURE for dives....told him the dive is at 11.30 and he reach there with his gear AT 11.30...when all of us are there at 11 checking ur tanks and other gears, puting on ur wetsuit, briefing on the dive site and checking dive buddy's equipment...ready to load the boat at 11.30 sharp. He is my dive buddy for most of the dives.....shit.... then the rest of the people also keep asking me where is he...is he coming for the dive.... and ask me to go and rush him...darn....I keep having to go to his rm to call him!

Never will I go on any kind of trip with him..sigh....

After Diving Trip - Overview

I have to post it in parts probably day by day...too long and I don't have the time to finish a long post...

One thing first... I'll never go back to that place again...not that the people is not good but they are, it is the poor condition of the corals...don't know why my friends love to go back there again and again...probably it is because of all the big fishes that have over there.... I don't wanna see another bleached coral or one that is over growth my alge no matter how many kinds of fishes they have over there. Brisbane still have the best corals and invertebrates I've ever seen. Of course took alot of photos...go and have a look k...any problems just tell me...

Oh ya, my phone got pick-pocketed out from my bag when I'm in the bus back to SG....now got a new phone...almost the same model but one with the camera...since both cost the same now.

Will have to end this post here...post more when I get back home tonight k. Miss you all...

Sorry for not posting yesterday when I came back from Malaysia...real tired and there are things to take care off.... my handphone got stolen...will write more abt it in the next post.

Seems like lots of happenings there... but you seems to be hanging on well and learning the trick to survive there yet doesn't get bullied by the others (especially lazy people). haha... Oh ya, keep some food with you in your room la, like the cookies that you mentioned.

So working everyday now is it? Have a fix shedule or not? Get the tips la...they probably wouldn't bothered to go and write something for you. Don't you have a name tag? If so, they might know your name and write something for you if they want to....

Called ur Mom just now, she say that WeiHao had faxed the document for you and will check 2 days from today if they revert ur AWOL status. Heard from her that you called her just now too.

Before Diving trip....

Anyway, today is the trip! Ya....so excited. :P But of course as usual I forgot to bring something, and this time it is my dive gloves....sigh.... called my Mom to ask her to bring them to me... I'm so lucky that she went home to take a rest...hehee.... she is bring them to me later. :P

Hope everything else went well on the trip and I'll not freeze to death on the coach... brought 2 pairs of thick socks to wear on the trip as I'm not goin to wear shoes over.

Heard from my friends that we are goin to go wreck diving! Ya...hope it is fun...same too for the night diving....both I never done before. :P

Yvon: U goin Big Walk this Sunday rite, sorry that I can't join you. Enjoy the walk k. Hope the goodies bag is better than last yr. Hows ur new job? Still working until very late everyday? Hows the exams coming up? Don't tire urself out k, rest well.... Will meet you after I come back from the trip k. I've called ur Mom just awhile ago to inform her of ur possible decision to come back earlier if the gals are coming back too.

She wants me to tell you that "You can never finish earning money", and "If you feels that it is dangerous or threatening over there please come back." Oh she says that if the others are coming back you should too because it is really not safe to stay there on your own. Lost of few thousand dollars nevermind, she only want you to be safe. Just treat it as an experience...

K, thats all I think.

Advices to Zack...

Am trying ur abs training thing, wow...hard...especially to do so many sets....haha....plain lazy maybe. Anyway, will keep doing as much as I can. Just 4 more days before my trip.

I suppose by the time you come back I haven got my licence yet... so if the gals quit next wk u will too? If u felt that it is unfair to ask you guys to be a janitor over there (which I think is idiotic) speak up to the HR, management and ur sch personals that is responsible for this. You have to be assertive in telling them that as a Uni attachment students to the park being a janitor there doesn't allow any of you to learn busniess management and if they are looking for cheap labour you guys are not. Anyone of you inform ur sch abt the treatment they are giving you there? Being quiet and passive does not solve the problem but allow them to abuse you guys more.

One thing that is still ugly but true is that most Americans and Europeans are still racist, and still think of Chinese (no matter where you come from and how well of English you can comprehen) are more babaric then they are. Thst they are of a higher status of human beings than we are. When they think of our country or any other south east asia or any asia countries, they will think that we are a 3rd world country and is there because we wanna be Americans like them and find a better living. They will most probably thinks that we are very poor country. One of my European friend are so surpise when she comes to Singapore for a visit, that the street signs and the direction signs are all in English and most of us speaks English. She also is surprise of how developed our country is, she used to thinks that we belongs to Malaysia like many others I met.

It is not good to be passive nor is good to be aggressive, you should be more assertive. Maybe the yrs in Army had trained you to be passive but it is time to get over that habit. My advice, do what you think is right for you. Think carefully of Questions like "Do I have to do it?", "What benefit or knowledge can I gain to do this?" and most importantly "Do you really thinks it is the best for you and do you like the situation now?" If the ans for above are all negative, then it seems to be the time to come back and make better use of ur time.

Will call your Mom to tell her abt the situation you are in tomorrow morning. You take care k, hope you make the right decision.

Basic Theory test and extras.....

hmz....if Zack if you wanna wear the tube top u can go and buy it....haha....maybe u can buy it for me and I give it back to you. Then u have the reason to own it and wear it. :P Oh btw, don't know if it will excite both of you...I brought a Bikini. :P For my diving trip to Perhentian next wkend. May not look very nice in it due to the extra meat around my mid-section. :P Zack, any fast way to tone my abs?

Making new friends is the best thing to do over there, when we as old friends cannot be there for you. Be careful when you guys go try out the rides. We always complains abt Singapore, now you know that Singapore is better than there. hahaha....

Zhen, gd luck to ur new job. How long is the contract? Oh, exams still far away, don't worry too much abt it la...should have enough time rite....3 wks?

Oh, just wanna tell you people that I've finished my Basic theory test on Wed. Should pass, there is no questions that I don't know how to ans...:P

These few weeks my health is not very gd...sigh....been on so many MCs and leave that I felt so bad to my boss and supervisor...sigh.... Hopefully I don't get sick right before and at the Diving Trip next wk. :P

My Group at Zoo seems okie, goin to do a group project on Clouded Leopard...which the night safari have. Zhen, interested in goin to the night safari with me? Attentively is on this Sun night but might change to Fri the 27th as many objections on goin on a Sun nite.

K, gotta go listen to a talk on Biological Transfer...sigh....will write more soon.

Zack's Job

Huh....ask you all to go there to do such a job?!?! It shouldn't be what you will be goin to do for the next few mths right, this is not permenant right! If so, just go for a trip there and forget abt the attachment la. Not worth it. You working at Busch Gardens Williamsburg?

Store more food at home, doesn't hurt to do so. Don't go hungry thou, you have to take care of urself more when you are alone there. Who are you living with? Hows the unpacking? Want us to send you instant noodles? That is what I've survived on when I'm in Auz. Is there any chinatown there?

Told ur Brother abt the phone thingy already, asked him to pass the message to ur mom too...not sure whether he did it or not la. What you want us to tell her abt?

Just wanna do something lor...and since I like animals and it does mean I don't need to pay entrance fees to the Zoo anymore it seems to be a very gd choice....hahaha...
No la, just like to take part in educating the people more abt animals and know more abt them myself. Just wanna do something to feel better abt myself, since I've already spent so much in studying Zoology and yet to use it.

Really, it that is wat they want you guys to do at the park always. You all might as well come back and forget abt the trip. But if that is onli a week's training to get know of the people then it is okie.

The Zoo training..

Guess I should post it here since I met 2 other Chung Cheng Girls at the Training. haha...One Senior and One Junior. The Senior belongs to NPCC, think both of you had seen her before. She is the one the wear glasses and has a huge birthmark that covers almost half of her face. The Junior is not as interesting but think she belongs to Library...haha....
Will see when I can get a picture with both of them and post it here.

Okie...goin back to the training...

The Senior Docents(wat they call themselves) are quite an interesting bunch...haha some cute guys and gals over there.

I will miss one of the lesson at the Training due to my diving trip to Perhentian, they told me it is not an impt lesson before I know the shedule. Can you guess what will I miss?? hmz....ARGH!!! I'll miss the trip to Night Safari and the overnight stay at the Zoo!!! Argh!! Under the stars with 2 whole roast lamb on camp fire!!! Argh!!! (Don't ask me where the lamb comes from... ^x^;;) Is that not impt?? It might not be impt but it seems to be the most interesting week! Argh.... sigh...guess I'll just pray for it to rain in Singapore during that time and the Sun is shining brightly in Perhentian. :P

K, next interesting thing is the name of ur group, we (7 of us) are the Yellow Mongoose. No it is not a goose, it is a carnivorous animeal that looks like this:



hehee...looks cunning isn't he.
